Safety Thermometer is a point prevalence audit. Data is
collected on a specified day across the trust and the
whole of NHS England.
The aim of the Safety Thermometer is not just to collect
data but to encourage improvement at ward/district
nursing service level to achieve 100% harm free care in
relation to the harms mentioned previously.
