  • IF patient has
    • -Burning, watering eyes
    -Burning/itching sensation to the skin
    -AND on approaching them you have the same
    symptoms
     
  • Back away
  • Tell Patient to remain where they are
  • Shout for assistance, and alert A&E
  • Advise that chemical agent is suspected
  • Patient and yourself will need to decontaminate.
  • Avoid moving the patient or entering other areas
  • of the hospital before you are decontaminated.
    • It is quite possible that patients will self present BEFORE notification from
    LAS Police or Fire Brigade. Therefore constant vigilance is required
