Read the plan before you need to use it
Tell let people know you are ok and how
they can contact you.
Carry your ID at all times in the hospital
Have access to money, cards, car and
house keys, mobile phone.
Ensure you bring any required medications
and dietary food with you.
Make arrangements to care for children,
elderly relatives and pets, if necessary.
Check your diary and ask someone to
cancel any appointments.
Support other staff that are responding,
seek support from OH if you have been
affected
DON'T
Give out your home address to
anyone, except the police
Forget to take your break
Stay unless asked to but speak
to your manager before you do
go
Speak to the press, or anyone
you suspect may be the press
Confirm to anyone that a major
incident is happening, unless
instructed to do so
