Who is responsible for Line Care?
To ensure everyone understands it is THEIR responsibility to care for lines and devices.

This should be the shift nurses caring for the patient. Drs/Nurses/AHP who insert the devices.
Anyone who gives medication through the device.

It is difficult to track who is responsible for a specific line infection and therefore everyone involved
has to take ownership for their contact

It is your responsibility to ensure you have up date information. The latest copies of the policy
