Records Management
All staff MUST follow recordkeeping guidelines to ensure records are:
 
Accurate, legible and up-to-date.
 
Complete, including NHS number.
 
Stored in a central filing system whether manual or electronic.
 
Easy to locate - files and documents should be clearly titled and given logical
names.
 
All staff leaving the Trust should organise/hand over their records before they
Leave.
 
The Trust's Corporate Records Centre provides storage for some types of
corporate/administrative records.
 
The Trust's Retention & Disposal of Trust Records policy sets the timescales for
the length of time records must be kept.
