  • Patient information must be carried in bags which can be zipped closed and
  • carried over the shoulder or on the back.
  •  
  • Do not leave bags containing sensitive information in unsafe environments.
  •  
  • Where it is necessary to carry diaries minimise the level of sensitivity of patient
  • information contained within diaries. Where possible staff and services should:
  •  
  • Use patient initials instead of full names;
  • Limit the inclusion of clinical or social information.
  •  
  • Patient information should not be left unattended
