IM Adrenaline
The intramuscular route (IM) is the safest route of
administration for adrenalin to treat an anaphylactic
reaction. The IM route has several benefits:
 
  • There are few margins for error
    •  
  • It does not require IV access
    •  
  • The IM route is easier to learn
    •  
  • Best site for injection is the anterolateral aspect of the middle
  • third of the thigh
