Whilst there is no legally defined age at which you can start to
leave your children at home by themselves you could be
prosecuted for wilful neglect should they come to harm whilst you
are out. If you believe that the children are not able to care for
themselves whilst alone then a child protection referral must be
made to Children's Social Care.
